Honestly yes. Even tho it killed pretty much every other build in PvE it was fun walking through PvE with even less effort than I walk through it now. Also it was pretty noob proof, you literally had to have no brain or an ego the size of america to fail while using ursan. Whereas now we're stuck with an army of generic perma sins, the majority of which are just down right aweful at it. Now when I go anywhere I'm guaranteed to see at least 1 perma sin around it makes me /cry.

I would MUCH rather see farming groups of all professions(ursan) as apposed to single profession farming teams(Perma).

Bullshit, u could do everything with ursan, while you can only farm with perma. That is why perma is better than ursan, noobs should not get GWAMM. Now nerf perma.

Ursan Blessing

August 31 2007 - August 07 2008

Here lies Ursan Blessing, a skill that was suppose to be the ultimate tool for high end farming in equal opportunities for all professions, but there is a saying that: " Great Power corrupt even the purest heart" and so it happen in GW, people start it to see "this great power" to abuse every single aspect of the game (except PvP of course) and people went wrong, what is suppose to be the ultimate tool for teamup in equal terms of high-end farming (ROFL at that term) and start to use it in missions NM and HM (LOOOOL), Vanquishing (ROFLMFAO) and dungeons making the game like it was pure trash. ANET give it the first warning nerfing foes in UW and people still abuse Ursan instead of enjoying the game, so there was no option to ANET to kill that blessing and people start crying: "WHY ANET NERF THAT SKILL, THAT SKILL DIDN'T NOTHING TO THE GAME" (LOOL), with this final words you can rest in peace now, Rest In Peace Ursan Blessing, let this blessing find a place in the Mist (F). One minute of silence for this skill plz.............. OK GUYS LETS HAVE A PARTY!!!!!!! :P

Here was some pictures of the first anniversary of Ursan Blessing Death

ok the joke is aside but this is my opinion now; I'm so happy that Ursan was Nerf/Kill it turned people in noobs and retarded because you can do every aspect in the game without Ursan including missions NM(this is to cryout laughing) and HM, Vanquishing and even Dungeons you can do it without being a carebear (that was the nick that I put to Ursan xD), come on even a lab monkey can use it: 1,2,3 for attacking, 4 for running and 5 to "transform back", Guild Wars is a game that is suppose to use your head no using instant win buttons, that's just my two cents.

P.D: Permas will be next to Ursan Blessing Graveyard

Any end level noob by reaching level 10 could go to EOTN get UB, then end every game and tell "I'm the king of the world". Ask them any basic question and they "errr never heard of it."

I agree with Awex. Ursan gave every profession a chance to farm UW, FoW, and DoA as opposed to the strict Sin and Monks (for the most part) UW, FoW, and DoA clears. As for solo VQing with heroes, I never used Ursan for that.

I got EotN after Ursan was nerfed and haven't used it outside that one quest. I didn't even know that it used to be that powerful until I heard about it on Guru.

On second thought, the OP's title covers it all in so many less words.

Well regardless of what you people say it's still a good PvE-Only elite. Be glad it still functions the way it does, could have been a lot worse.

I do not miss it at all. I never used it. In fact, the only reason I got the skill itself was because the quest also gave you a Honeycomb.

Gimmick skills like Ursan Blessing completely ruined the economy and the community of Guild Wars.

Yeah. It could be as worthless as Smiter's Boon in PVP.

But honestly about the economic thing and all those other issues. There will always be a build that will do what Ursan did in any shape way or form. And this brings up another point. If you guys are so sick of people running gimmicky builds that can do everything then how come no one QQs about Sabway or Discord way? Those two builds have dominated the PVE meta for almost a year now. And there has been little to no nerfs to the build. It does almost everything Ursan can plus more. And then there is a second build that's just as rigged as Ursan: Imbagon. A spam of +100 armor along with the sunspear skill isn't rigged at all? The imbagon gives your entire party more armor/damage reduction then the Ursans even got and no one QQs about that like they did about Ursans.

I don't miss it at all.

It attempted to fix many of PvE's problems in entirely the wrong way, and still did a terrible job of it.

Nope, I don't miss it.

Something "game-breaking" like that should rest in peace as it is now.

1. Leather Square Malice is 100% sarcasm
2. Ursan was fun, but I wasn't complaining when it was nerfed.

Nope, I don't miss it. And granted, I did 150+ FoW ursan speed clears with it, too. I still don't miss it, even though it got me Obsidian Blades and Voltaic Spears like crazy.

Just like I would not miss 600/smiting or permasin now. In fact, anything that dominates the game where only a specified few elite skill options are viable should be brought out of the game. The game should be open to variety, so that tons of people with tons of professions can do tons of things, not just those with RoJ monks and Perma sins...or not just those with r10 Norn.

Dominant strategies should always be balanced. Sure, you get more items and things get easier...but the game ends up just not being fun, and the prices on items become dirt cheap. I should not be able to buy a storm bow for under 10k. It is rediculous. They still should be over 100k. Nope, not since Ursan...then perma.
